high lakes escape : : part two

there were snowball fights in warm weather, a very big boy venturing about a bit on his own (and a mama having a hard time letting him), experiments throwing ice on fire and watching it turn from solid to liquid to gas in a matter of seconds, a not so little girl eating almost an entire cantaloupe herself, and all around wonderful family bonding. what a great way to begin a much needed summer!

high lakes escape : : cabin adventure

ponderosa pines, campfires, rustic log cabins, family, a beautiful lake... i think i'm not alone when i say this was a wonderful getaway that ended much too soon. thank you to all of the amazing grandparents that made this vacation happen.

four months

goodness... she's getting really big isn't she?

i am so ready to just slow down a bit and enjoy. i feel like i've been racing through life these last four months and finally the race is over. this weekend is the last soccer game, next week we have two little graduations to attend (sniff sniff), and then we will be taking off to start the summer with a camping trip.
